Home Buy, Sell & Trade - Cards & Memorabilia

newbie here needing some veteran advice please?

Hi guys,

My name is Will and this will be my first post here on Collector Universe. I've been reading the forums and there seems to be alot of 2005 Topps Heritage set-builders on this site. I'm on Sportscard Sheriff and NOBODY is trading on this set. I was wondering if there are any standards for trading on this forum and is there a feedback system for trades? In case you are interested, check out my trade page:

    Hey bud...
I generally use SCS the most myself image As for here, there are no standards for trades. You don't have to post a deal and there's no rules as to who actually sends first. These are things determined by the two traders. You don't have to post your deal, but you can if you like. There is no feedback here either. You can always list eachother as ref's, but there's no official system available to leave feedback. You will likely find many members here that use other sites like SCS and you may be familiar with them here, but feel free to post openly asking about another trader if you like. The members here, if familiar with the trader, will likely be able to help you out. There are a few known scammers here, so be careful. Hope this helps,

  • What is SCS? Do you have a link?

    Thanks!
  • The best luck I've had for trading is on The Bench.
They have a trade manager to track all the deals you make.

Kansas - Here's the link to SCS

There are many other worthy sites as well which also help track trades, such as Highlight Reel, Cardboard Village, Trader Retreat, Sports Card Forum, Hobby Insider, etc... Some are better sites depending on the sport you collect. I've had the most luck for hockey on SCS, while somewhere like HI is more geared towards hockey collectors, even though both sites have trading for all sports...

  • Thanks Zack for the info. I'm new to online trading so I appreciate the advice. I'm sure most members are trustworthy but not everyone is honest. Just makes me a little nervous even though the cards aren't that valuable. I'd like to check out the Bench. Does anyone know the web address they could post for me?
