Please Tell Me What It Is

I was going through some foriegn coins from my Mother-in-Laws Estate and came upon this one. I have no idea what it is, where it is from or how much it might be worth. Can anyone help me on this?

Looks like a very beat up farthing or half penny from Britain. Not worth much I'm afraid.

It's an 1826 British halfpenny.

In that condition, it has little or no monetary value, but I like it anyway.

You should put it on your keychain.

Ah, yes- they're right- it could also be a farthing.

How big around is it?

Best guess it is about 7/8" in diameter.

Sounds like a farthing, then. (A quarter penny).
