Anyone know about post WW1, pre WW2 German stuff?

I picked this book up for my son today (he is in his 3rd year of HS German), I looks like a news stickerbook. I have taken a few shots to share with everyone.

It is a book or album that holds trading cards dealing with the post-war period.

I have no idea as to the value of the book oh mad one. The book was issued by the Eckstein-Halpaus cigarette company which was located in Dresden.

I don't know about this particular book...I have several 2 volume sets of the 1936 "Olympia" with dust Jackets though. These have the tobacco cards completed in them also. I know that these sets have a higher premium due to the subject matter, that being, Hitler's Olympics in Munich, 1936. Hitler wanted to prove the superiority of the Aryan race but had his butt handed to him on a platter when the U.S. black althlete, Jesse Owens, won just about every gold medal in track and field events. These sets go for $200 but I've seen them go for less based on condition too. Sorry I couldn't help you....

Collecting cigarette cards was popular during the interwar years -- in Germany, the UK, the US, and elsewhere -- and most tobacco companies issued books into which the collected cards could be mounted. Some were sold complete with cards as well. In excellent condition and with all cards pristine, these can go for hundreds of dollars. I have a very scarce one of the German colonies in a gorgeous engraved, leather-bound book. I don't remember what I paid for it, though.

It dates roughly from 1918-1939, and very little of it is in English.
