He paid $24 for it plus buyers premium on Teletrade a few weeks ago, so you got it for about the same price. Link

If you got it for $30 (or what, $34 after shipping?), I'd say you did just fine, if the Krause UNC price is $40. Krause UNC is usually a price for a "generic" (MS60-63 quality) UNC coin, so if you got an MS64 for less than the generic UNC price, and in a PCGS slab to boot, I fail to see how you could lose. (Granted, the demand for these is probably not terribly high, but I think you did great.) image

CA please put a picture of that coin up when you receive it. It was on my tracking page but no bid was placed. Deep remorse had fell upon myself because two other coins were lost to a sniper minutes before this one ended. image

French Indo-china does not require an enormous amount of coins for a good type set-I'm talking about 19th century, not 20th century, but they can get expensive in high grades.

    Sapeque- 1887-1900
    Cent-1885-1895. 1895-1900
    10 cents-1885-1895. 1895-1897, 1898-1900
    20 cents- 1885-1895. 1895-1897, 1898-1900
    50 cents- 1885-1895, 1895-1897, 1898-1900
    Piastre-1885-1895, 1895-1900
    Essais- 1887-1897,
    1 Piedforts 1896
    2 Proof sets-1889 + 1900

14 coins in all, other than Piedforts and Essais. I've wanted to put this set together for a while but the 20 and 50 cents in high grades are beyond my means...

Scares to boot - but that would make sense. I've had a few pass through but all bore some fatal flaw, typically harshly cleaned/whizzed. Had a heck of a time finding original Piastres as well for the same reason.
