Home Buy, Sell & Trade - Cards & Memorabilia

Whoo hoo I'm stoked!!!!

even with $11.00 shipping from Germany, I landed this 1935 Josetti Cigarettes set, complete at 275 cards, for less than $.45 (cents) per card:

    Nice set Mark!
Great price too - individual cards can go for like 6-7$ in good condition from what I understand?
Is this the back of the card?

    Congratulations on a great set.

Almost the same except a different brand:

As usual, I'll keep the set intact; I may start picking up some lots for singles, though. I love the gold borders.

Very similar - same vintage? and they seem to be Salem cigarettes? Is that the same as our Salem cigarettes here?

They seem to have their own brand - here is a vintage copy of a German salem item:

sounds familiar, but I do know there's a Schmeling in the Josetti set I just won.

Edited to add: My mistake - no Schmeling in this set that I know of.

  • Very nice cards, I have a few odds around somewhere but not sure what the backs are. I will have to dig them out.

Its nice to see you guys here. I thought you were only into sports cards, but you guys really have a broad base like me.

I was not familiar with these cards, but they are awesome!! As you guys know, I can read German. All 275 can be had by mail order for one Reichsmark. That currency went out over half a century ago!! I have some original coinage from that era--the silver 2 RM and 5 RM.

You really hit the jackpot on this collection MorrellMan!!!!

Congrats and most of all, thanks for sharing!!

Thanx for coming over!...there are a lot of guys collecting the movie stuff since it is pure vintage and affordable IMO. I also collect German olympic cards, Sanella etc.
