Upload your own author icon ?

Ok, so I made my own little icon to use for the board and today's the day to upload it but I don't think it's working. I click the browse button and choose my 100x100 less then 10kb image then I click the Update Profile button and the text (the path) to the icon image on my computer disapears and nothing else happens. What gives?
