Excellent super tough rare coin to get. Right now only 19 of them are in the population report. It looks like many of them are in the IKE registry set. Maybe all, I didn't look at all the 100% complete registry sets. There may be some in private collections that aren't in the registry sets though. Maybe if you contact one of the registry set collection owners, and make them a really really good offer, they'd sell you their coin. Of course then the real challenge would be making your own from searching through jillions of raw coins.
Good luck! Even finding an original, unsearched 76-P Type 1 roll is tough! I think your best bet might be from a mint set. There are so many High-End Ike Registry collectors looking for this one, that I bet one would fetch over $3,500 if it ever came up on eBay.
Mike, I thought you already had several of them?...

Mint set gems of this one are pretty tough. Only about 1% of coins from original sets stand out and these may not all be MS-65 though the lion's share probably are. MS-66's are few and far between with only about one coin in a thousand having a shot at it.
The search will be complicated by the fact that original mint sets are getting harder to find. More than half of these now days have been checked for gem Ikes.
As they say in CLADIKEKINGDOM in reference to the 76P TYPE 1 IN MS-66 "GOOD LUCK"
There is one up on ebay right now... In a complete set, if your willing to trust the seller and fork up the 5 figure number its gonna take to buy it... It can be yours!
Is it just me; or do some of those coins appear to have been graded when PCGS was a little more lenient? I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just curious
It is a VERY nice coin. My THANKS to James Sego for selling me this coin.

Sorry if I offended you by posting on your thread. I too have been looking for this coin for a long time. I just happened to be in "the right place at the right time" today. I bought the coin in person from James at the Illinois Numismatic Association 45th Annual Fall Convention.
I have bought and sold many coins with James and have always had GOOD experiences with him. Today was the first time I have had the pleasure to meet him in person.
James also brought his #1 IKE Set for me to see. I was VERY impressed with the QUALITY of the coins in his set. I also had the chance to see several PKOK Coins in person for the 1st time. They are VERY beautiful coins!!!!!!!!
If anyone is looking for some TOP NOTCH IKE'S contact James. He has many nice coins.
I would like to apologize to Mike (slugfootball) and anyone else I offended by posting on his thread. I honestly didn't think about it like that at the time I did it. I was just excited about acquiring the coin.
I only posted here as having this coin because I was "called out" by name for having one when I didn't. I posted that I didn't have one and then a few days later I add one to my set. So I posted here because I felt like I owed an explanation as to how it came about. I didn't want anyone to think I wasn't telling the truth when I said I didn't have one.

I can tell for sure seveal of the Type I's are mislabeled Type II's.
I think $3500 is probably a good number now.

Was it as much as you expected? How's it look?
