Bad Trader Alert?

I cant believe I am having to post this on somebody I thought was a good trader but I am getting very worried.

Myself and Ronald Crum - Jrccrum@aol.com agreed on a trade for my Joe Namath Auto Jersey. We agreed to send last Tuesday via priority mail with signature confirmation. I did so and Ron received my cards 3 days later. On last Friday he finally returned all my emails with this:

chad, I had to go out of town for the week and just got back. I was unable to ship out your cards tuesday. I will get them out asap for you.
sorry for the delay and enjoy the cards.

Then I sent 3 emails asking him how/when he shipped with no response. Then today I get this (8 days after we agreed to ship):
Chad,
Got back in town again today and sent your stuff out Via priority mail/insured 200.00 with signature confirmation.
let me know when you receive and enjoy the cards

thanks again and sorry for the delay

While I think he is a good person/trader I am getting worried as this is the normal pattern when a trade goes sour. Should I be worried? Has anyone here traded with him?

Thanks for your help and I hope I get my cards (Normar Topps Traded, Piazza Bowman, Clemens RC and Teixeira Auto).

He never said he DID send them... just said he would soon. Now today he says he DID send them and even gave details. Probably means he did.
I doubt he would rip anyone.

I agree. I just am frustrated that we exchanged trading refs and agreed to send at the same time and now he is 8 days late in holding up his end of the bargain.

I know I'm late in shipping because I have been out of town. but your cards were sent out and the trade will be completed. so nothing else I can say but just let me know when you receive them.
I'm man enough to say I'm sorry for the delay.

i wish people would wake up and quit defending the "card god".
he trades on his own terms and everyone still gives him praise.

Ron has excellent credentials, I know it sucks when a guy sends late and you are going to mailbox expecting
your cards and they haven't even been sent yet. Sometimes you just can't get to the post office. I hope
everything turns out alright.
