What will Tejada's cards be worth if he breaks Ripkens streak???

It's way too early to know how long Tejada's streak will go, but he's at 712 straight games played. Do you guys think his cards will be worth alot in 10-12 years if he can keep the streak and break Ripkens mark?

    I do not believe that any team will allow a player to break Ripken's record because it eventually hurts the team. If Ripken had not been working on a record there would have been plenty of games that a manager would have sat him out.

    If there were ever a record that wouldn't be broken during our lifetime, it's Ripken's streak. Players need occasional rest, even the strongest, and there were plenty of times Ripken played and was dead tired and shouldn't have played, but played anyways to keep the streak alive. I can't see Tejada coming even close to breaking it. Wins are too expensive in the game today, with some teams paying upwards of $3M per win, it's too expensive to screw around worrying about streaks when the overall affect could be detrimental to the team.

    Tejada won't even be in the big leagues in 10 or 12 yrs. He will have retired.

    there is a better chance that cal himself will "streak" naked across the infield during a game at camden yard, than the chance that anyone will be able to break his consecutive game record.
