Lose by 19 to Puerto Rico, send those players to the NBA to earn the millions for playing half a**ed.

a true embarrasment, who's on the freakin PR team ? maybe we should go back to the college players, at least maybe they would have some heart. Our #1 problem is the only guys in the NBA who can shoot are European players. too much focus of our game is on showboating individual players, except for maybe the pistons & maybe the spurs.

dissapointing to us, embarrasing to them.

It doesnt matter that much to me, PRico and other teams can beat the USA's third or fourth best team...yippy good for them.

I think it's more a testament that the real elite level of player can't be 'bothered' with representing their country in the Olympics. It's a sad day when their millions are more important than representing their country in the Olympics.

And I suppose we can gloss it over, saying we didn't have our best players there. What we can't deny is that the team we did send should have easily handled any of the teams put forth by other countries; the fact they got blasted by 19 only makes the US basketball program look that much more pathetic.

I think it's that the world has caught up the US in basketball. Arroyo had a great game and they played a TEAM game. Arroyo made everyone guarding him look bad (Wade couldn't even do squat against thim on defence!)

I think everyone loves underdogs.......they made the US look real bad......wasn't even close the whole game....

you only had to see Iverson walking with the group at the opening ceremonies to see that this just wasn't
important to them. PR just looked like they won the whole thing! Not only does out bk team suck but the
baseball team isn't even there! How sad is that?
