My day at '49ers Fan Day 2004'... (Aug. 7th)

This year's practice was alot better then last years. Was no contact last year... not even pads on. This year they had contact (not bone-jarring... just like if the defensive guy bumped the RB he was down. playin safe, but still heard some cracks of pads). And before the practice Cedrick Wilson grabbed the mic and went up to the fans and asked what he needed help doing. Everyone yelled "Calling a timeout!!!" (if you watched the 1st Rams vs. 49ers game last year you know what he means.) and he got the crowd into it by having us all stand up and call a timeout and stuff. Funny stuff.

They had real refs there and the announcer had us practice boo them image. There was some good plays. A kicker was practicing field goals from the 20 and a guy with a linens tub (waist-high box with wheels), maybe 30 yards behind the goal post, was pushin it and the ball went into it. A 60+/- yard field goal in a 3' x 4' tub. What are the chances? image The punters had some nice punts... one was like 70 yards... massive hang-time.

Also Jamie Winborn (#55) has a new nickname... "Speed Limit" (like road signs... Speed Limit 55). Gonna steal a speed limit sign off the freeway and have him sign it. image He was a charactar.

Autographs:
My goal is to get the top 6 (Barlow, Carter, Lloyd, Robertson, Wilson & Winborn) on the helmet, along with anyone else I can fit... (And I like Jimmy... good punt/kick returner... cool hair image) image Next year.

I only got 3 sigs becuase all the people I had stuff of to sign were on the other side of the field and after they were done on that side they left, not going to the other side first. (Was waiting to Barlow and Lloyd to come to me so I couldn't run around the field.)

Most all the players were great signers. Barlow signed a crapload of stuff, along with Lloyd. There was alot of newer/non-stars guys (not well know except to 49ers fans) and they signed a little bit but left after noone wanted their sigs. (I would of gotten a crapload of sigs, but again, I was waiting for Lloyd & Barlow).

Brandon Lloyd signed a bunch of stuff so there wasn't really a big bunch around him... people just waited for him to walk to them. I got one of the 1st sigs... very easy to get.

Jimmy Williams was simple image... There was like 5 people wantin his, so that was no trouble.

Barlow was signing and he was coming my way then started to go the other way, so I went to that side... then he went the way I WAS at, so I just went to the tunnel where they leave and he was gonna run in, but I stuck my jersey in his face and said "Please!" so he stopped. Then he was bumrushed by a bunch of people and I was caught in the middle. I was being pushed into Barlow and I couldn't get out of the ball. imageimage Finally squirmed out.

Last year was hell. There was thousands and thousands of people wanting sigs (Owens, Hearst, Garcia mainly), but this year it was calmer... not as many people. So I didn't even bother gettin sigs. My mom got a Y.A. Tittle auto. And they introduced John York (owner) with lotsa "Boo"ing... and he gave away 1 shirt... handed it to my mom. After that she was the only person who liked him. imageimage

This year was really fun. Thanks for lookin... was very fun for me.
