What are some good 1 autograph or jersey a pack products?

What are some newer basketball and baseball products that there is an autograph and or game used jersey per pack? Also what are the retail on them. I have been away from collecting the past 2 years and I am just trying to get caught up.

to tell you the truth there are no products that have one auto or GU per pack that are worth the
money. The products that were worth the money last year had prices under 100 for an entire box.
Are you sure that is really what you want to do? I saw an Absolute 2 box rip over on the baseball
board and it was a joke....stay away from that!

Nine times out of ten, if you buy an Auto or Jersey per pack product. You're gonna get a $10-$15 GU or Auto. That's why I hate those products, not to mention the price! I just bought a box of '03 Elite FB for $75, I got $175 in BV in just my major pulls. If you take time you can find some really nice products.

Thanks for the input. I was looking today and saw a product that looks like it might be good in baseball, 2004 topps something I dont remember the name but there is an autograph per pack of just hall of famers I believe, the add shows an autograph of Nolan Ryan and Willie Mayes.

This is it, it's not out yet - it should be about $50 a pack or $300 a box (6 packs):

Without the huge risk in investment, the best right now is new Playoff Absolute, it should run $30-$40 a pack depending on how much your dealer marks prices up. Not sure if anything real big in it, such as deceased cut autos, but there is some low numbered auto patches.

2004 Flair Baseball has 3 GU and 1 AU all limited to 250 or less per pack ($90 on the 'bay, probably about $110-120 at your local shop). I'd say it's worth a shot...

Rookies autos #/750 a reason to avoid this product that is less then half the cost of Timeless Treasures, and 20% of the cost of Prime Cuts??? I would say some of the cards at the beginning of the list are cards I wouldn't complain about pulling from a $30-$40 pack.

Absolute listings starting with highest price

Also, a rookie auto'd to 750 can't be that bad what about that Bowman Chrome auto a couple years ago #/500, what's it at $1200+??? I am sure it is the usual non rookie 26 year old autos anyways though, so that end of it doesn't interest me.

This all being said how many packs am I opening, most likely 0, my partner opened 4. I just feel that if you want a guaranteed auto or jersey per pack card, this is the best I have seen in a while. The worst, I feel will be the new Topps 1 auto per pack, and only 1 card per pack, and all buy backs, at close $50 a pack....NO THANKS!!!!

I don't care how hard you dream, a card that is numbered to 750 is rarely going to be worth more
than 30-40 bucks, unless it has Lebron or Carmello on it. You only have to do the math..playoff
loaded this one up with cheap rookie autos. I see this as a trend and I hope DLP doesn't kill
Leaf Certified this year by doing that. I noticed that you said your buddy opened 4 packs...but I
guess he didn't pull anything high end? This is a waste of money.

You probably could spend half as much and get two autos out of topps fan favorites...heck you would
even get cards that they player held and singed, instead of some sticker sheet pull off, plus you get
to bust 24 packs instead of 2.

The Flair baseball was nice until Beckett killed it! Too bad.

His lowest #'d pull was a Baldelli auto jersey #/15, also pulled a Jeter/Mattingly double jersey #/250, sellable to a customer for us, they were the best 2 of the 4, Berkman triple game used #/50, sold for $19 on the bay, not sure what the other one was. I would personally rather open Donruss Elite then Fan favs, 2 autos that might go for $10 a piece, of rehashed players from other products for the most part. I am not saying I would open Absolute, I am just saying for the price I feel it is better then the others, Beckett didn't kill Flair, the ebay buyers and the ebay sellers did that. I blame the sellers because my theory anymore is if you are willing to let it go so cheep, by starting good stuff so low, then you are helping this hobby go downhill, if the buyers are forced to pay higher to get what they want, with no sellers offering it for $1 minimum bids, then they will pay the higher prices. Impossible thought but a nice one, sad thing is who knows if these low dollar transactions always take place with all the shill bidders out there, am sure many do, but am sure many don't, this is the biggest problem with Beckett listing what low #'d stuff sell on line for, they have no idea if the transaction ever actually happened. Ok I rambled enough....

Maybe you should check out fan favs some more, there are plenty of rare cards. The set also has a loyal
following. Elite is loaded with GU which we all know is dead and once again no name rookies numbered to
750 or 1000 or something. Sure the passing the torch autos are nice but they are maybe one per case if
    you are lucky.

There is a list of about 60 autographs in fan favorites that have print runs less than 100. Sure there
are bums, but you have a better chance of selling a town hero than you do some 16 year old pitching
prospect who will never sniff a MLB ballpark.

As far as Flair, I really don't think beckett tracked this product 100% but I will agree with you, low ball
    sellers kill this hobby.

How many boxes/cases of this topps originals are you guys getting in?

We don't get anything direct, we have competition about 5 miles away that is practically unbeatable and when we want anything we just get it from him wholesale. For example Absolute was $28 a pack there, Fan Favs $81 a box, not sure how that compares to most areas shop prices, but it is hard for us to be competitive, so we specialize in the singles, and usually get a light load of wax. I am aware of the rare autos in Fan Favs, I just still feel it is too much of a gamble. Elite I did well with cuz I moved the items fast enough, didn't hurt that we pulled a Gandolfini auto and sold it for $200, and actually got $40 for a Braves 4 player jersey card #/100, helps to get new product posted fast.
