Smaller numerals on PSA label?

I own many graded cards, but this is the first one I've seen with smaller than normal numbers and a different lettering style. The grade is also placed below the second-to-last card number, not the last. Set Registry took it, no problem. Forgive me if you guys have already covered this anomoly (first post-greetings everyone!) but I'm curious about the story behind this rarity.

Sorry, no scanner, but it's just a common which the cert verification says is legit.

KIDSOX - Yes PSA has had a few different size #'s & fonts on the flips over the last decade. Below are 3 such variations...jay

Thanks for the info. What I have is like the Dark you posted. The first three ID numbers are also 016. I've seen lots of speculation on these boards about PSA's numbering riddle. I have another 016 that's like the Valo. Probably the numbers are totally random.

KIDSOX - Your other "016" could have had the same small print as your other card and my Al Dark, and could have been re-holdered over the last few years w/ the "newer" printed flip in its place...jay

I especially like the flip version that looks like it was done on a typewriter on Joe Orlando's kitchen table.

Psa has used about 4 different fonts that I have seen thru the years. The backs are also different. the older grades having the basebal psa hologram, then the different versions of collector's universe on the back.
