how does the actual colour of the coin compare to the photo colours ?

Attractive toning - Yeah what LLoyd said - does it show the same toning as in the picture?

The coin looks dark when viewed straight on, if angled to the light the color jumps off the coin. I tried the slant glass method on it but the reflection off of the plastic washed out the coin color

Alas, the angled glass thing needs some help shooting through plastic.

Nice bit....I know what you're saying about how the toning looks off these in the absence of angled light.
