  • with all the law suites flying around, i'd be weary about listing any negative info on NTC. Might be related to Hager. image

You could just say that you liked the coin enough to buy it, regardless of holder grade.

You have every right to offer your personal opinion of your own coin, and it's certainly more ethical than not to note that you believe it isn't properly graded. I would however tweak the disclaimer a bit to make it more clear it's your opinion, perhaps by saying: "In my experience, NTC coins are far more liberally graded than PCGS or NGC coins, and this coin is no exception. I believe this coin to be overgraded and it probably isn't cameo either."

By doing that, your auction might not bring as much money, but I'll bet you'll feel better and NTC wouldn't be able to touch you, even in their dreams. image

You've only stated the facts. You didn't say anything like "NTC is worthless crap and never submit any coins to them!"

It's 100% true that a coin in a NTC holder may not receive the same grade at PCGS or NGC. The converse is also true.

Your best bet might be: NTC Graded PF-68. My grade: PF-67.

I think that is overkill, Put a good picture up with an accurate description and let it go at that.

If you pay attention to them you would NEVER sell anything but pcgs prefered slabs. Correctly graded coins can come in ALL slabs,, they are just not all graded same or consistantly,,,, that does not mean that your coin is any less of a beauty or less deserving of the grade on THAT slab.
