    i personally know this guy, he is the biggest giants collector around, he will pay whatever price to get the card for his collection. I remember years back he purchased a joe montegomery prestige rc for $75 off a buddy of mine.

    I don't know why anyone spends top dollar on anything Press Pass or Sage. As soon as the new real brands come out (Playoff, UD, Topps etc.), Press Pass and Sage take a nose dive in sales. Wait till after the Contenders, SPA and that stuff comes out, you can buy that Eli card for $50-$80. A few years back I pulled a David Carr Sage hit autograph, sold it on ebay for $50 and after the real brands came out that Carr was only selling for $20-$25. Its the same way every single year but people continue to blow it all on stuff you can get for half that price if you wait a few months.

    Yeah, that buyer is the guy who bought my Shockey FO auto redemption last year for $250. He's a pretty nice guy though. He is just... determined image
