Not showing now Davino.........I see you're using villagephotos for hosting, I have had no luck with them and they just wiped out my account one day without notice (maybe for lack of use) .
I think the 'X's have a most beautiful hint of vermillion along with the red. The RH and lower shadowing on the borders are extra special and add a nice touch. It is then beautifully set off in framing that includes upper and LH shadowing.
2002 Press Pass JE Class of 2002 Autograph David Carr:
2002 Sage Jersey Red David Carr 11/99 (maybe my favorite jersey card):
2002 Topps Debut Collegiate Classics David Carr (Love the way the card looks in person, love the way it scans even though the two are completely different!)
2002 Topps Debut Jersey Red David Carr 132/199 (An SGC-graded card on the PSA boards - the horror!)
2003 Sage jersey Gold David Carr 14/25 (my lowest-numbered Carr)
I need a new scanner, will probably have one with in a few weeks & will post some pics then. Those '84 Donruss are my favorite modern set .........I have 10 racks & a wax box sitting around...how long before I give in to temptation ya think?
Nice cards, guys! (although I can't see yours right now, Davino)
I picked this one up on ebay, and it's become one of my favorites. For those who might not know (I sure didn't before a couple weeks ago), the T216 baseball series was issued by the Peoples Tobacco Company of New Orleans. The images are the same as those found on Caramel sets E90-1 & E92, and the cards have a glazed, shiny surface. Two Tris Speakers have been graded by SGC, none by PSA, so I imagine it's fairly rare.
Ok, this set has a book value of say 50$ so I dont love because of it's value per say. It happens to be my birth year, and each card tells a story or in my eyes a little bit about the history of the game. Look I admit to being a screwball but I just love this set...

Here's some raw cards I need to submit to PSA. The Bench is about my favorite card. Tried to scan some graded cards but they all came out blurry on my scanner...Never seemed to have that problem before.
This one's a reprint but the autograph's not:

Really nice, but a bit off-center:
My favorite card of my favorite ballplayer:
Anybody think the Marichal or Bench have a chance at a 9?
This is one of my favourite cards, not because I'm a huge Lemieux fan, and not because the card is worth much, but I just love the moment that it captures, and the pure, unbridled emotion. I find too many cards today cover up crappy photos by adding special effects.
I love the '84 Donruss, too. Sorry that the pictures weren't showing, it seems that Village Photos wouldn't allow them to be viewed due to my exceeding the allowable bandwith....
These are three of my favorites. The 1952 Topps Duke Snider and the 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle I purchased raw off of Ebay. The Mantle I had originally graded a NM/MT 8 by PSA, but I thought it was nicer and had it crossed over which came back as a 8.5 by GAI. I also thought the Snider would also grade at least a 8.5, but it graded an 8. The Campanella is probably my favorite as it is perfect in every way. There is just somehting about those high grade 53's. Sorry the pictures look dark and grainy, the cards look much better and sharper in person.
Nice topic! Here's are some of mine: I mentioned this in a topic about best pulls ever about two years ago. You can't see it, but it's #1/23 out of 01-02 UD Honor Roll, from a retail box (packed out as a redemption) I recently sold my 8 and upgraded to the 9 above. I got above sig via mail. For you vintage buffs, this is my oldest card in my collection-somewhat, because I pulled this out of a retail(!) box of 2002 Topps Series 2. It's an actual buyback auto from Topps, although I can't find any listing of it on Beckett online.

Thanks for posting the scans. They are all great looking cards. That Musial is timeless, I never get tired of seeing it.
Thanks for sharing..

I love the card to begin with, and it's the rare NNOB version to boot

Great story about the Mantle. Just when I thought there were no legitimate raw high-grade vintage cards on ebay....
