If you send them a hammered coin and hold your mouth the right way, they will slab it. I have an English coin that dates AD 997-1003, I could not get a straight answer from PCGS in several attempts, so I let another service have the honor. I'd like to have it done by PCGS as it is quite a coin, but I don't want to toss $30 out the window either!

If they won't slab it they'll probably refund your $30. but you are still out the shipping cost, both ways. One of PCGS's customer service genius' told me they would slab a 1797 2d. Sent it in, they wouldn't do it. Was out $25 for shipping. Never again will I submit to PCGS. Oh yea, they ignored my emails I sent about the non-slabbing.

Pcgs should make a list of world coins they will grade and if thats too long make a list of what they won't grade.

I had anacs respond to a e-mail I sent asking if they would slab a certain coin and they said yes.
They sent it back ungraded and said it was a medal and kept my $15.00.

I agree, or at least say "we grade all English coins from 1066-date" for each country.
