I had a redemption card for a Josh Reed UD Graded Gold AUtograph RC and they couldn't get the autographs from him for the cards and so instead of substituting some loser card, they sent me a 1999 SP Signature Edition Priest Holmes Autograph card. I was quite pleased.

    Well, let's see that's 1 good deed out of like a 1000 bad raps Upper Deck has gotten on all the trade sites we belong to. Still a real poor average for a company the size of UD.
    Far as we're concerned they still are, by far, the worst. Happy to hear that you got something decent from them but know you are way in the minority when it comes to dealing with those slugs.

    Priest Holmes is the best RB in football right now. The auto books $60.00 and so I was pleased.

    I say I'd be mad only cause I don't concider Holmes as a big enough star to replace a rookie auto. Speacially a gold one to boot.

    As long as you were happy with the outcome is all that matters. Congrats if you are.

    Yea... I agree... I mean, 27 TD's in one season is NOTHING! I could get 40 in a season, as I'm sure you can too apoidea!!!

    Maris had a home run record, and he isn't in the hall of fame.


    Holmes, as good as he is, is only a semi-star...................and that's not a reasonable replacement for a gold rookie autograph in my view/opinion.

    Maris's cards are priced higher than at least half the HOFers in the same sets. Bad analogy.

    I don't care what Beckett calls Priest Holmes, his stuff sells well at card shows at a high percentage of book, and I'm nowhere near the KC area.
