After further review, I see bubble mailers, calculators and most importantly, the CU Message Board displayed on his screen. What else of subtle interest can you spot?
Thanks, kids. There's all kinds of crap in this room, which I call my playroom. My wife, on the other hand, calls it the place where I can go "be gay" with my cards, posters, video games, music, etc. She just doesn't get it. Also have to take the opportunity to show off the owner of those toys, my daughter Ella who's closing in on 18 months. She's been walking for half of that time, but has fortunately not yet demolished anything of value - except for all the scratches in the new living room furniture that we foolishly bought several months before she was born.
Steve, there's gotta be a way to convince your wife your hobbies aren't "gay." I had similar challenges with my wife back when we were first getting serious, so I:
a) Asked her what kind of card set she'd have *some* interest in - hence, my T68 set was born (we're both history buffs, though I still look at the cards about 10x more than she does)
b) Made her go to a Phish show - 10/7/00 @Shoreline, under the "this could be the last show ever" premise. After that, she even started listening to my CD-R collection .
Adorable kid - and really odd/funny coincidence actually. We're planning to start our family soon, and always like playing the "name game" with each other. We've had a few boys names in mind for a quite a while, but have been totally stuck on girls names. Last night, while watching the DVD of Sinatra with Ella Fitzgerald, I suddenly turned to her and just said "Ella." We both liked it the more we thought about it - it's a really simple, but beautiful, name that isn't too common these days. Then I woke up and read this post ... so excellent choice .

Here is a couple items from "poor man's" collection with, poor image hosting and poor picture taking. However,it's not so bad when a poor man gets to meet someone they admired as a kid like this legend.Nice guy too.
