Anyone ever played/ set up one of those dice games at card shows?

I know you know what I am talking about. I have used these before and made decent money. I was thinking about really loading one up for this next show with GREAT stuff on 5 and 30, and nice stuff on 6 and 29. But my question is...

Have you ever rolled/ seen someone roll a 30 or a 5?

I have never had anyone hit either on mine. The odds are really high, as is the probability. I am not sure of the exact way to figure out the odds, I think the odds are like 1:360 but I think that is wrong. I would sit and play with the dice when shows were slow and I am sure I have rolled 1,000s of times and I have never hit either

The odds of a 5 coming up on 5 six sided dice is 1 in 7,776. The same chance for a 30 obviously. So your overall chances of getting either a 5 or a 30 are 1 in 3,888. The chances of getting a 6 or a 29 are 1 in 777.

However, before you set up something like this you should be aware that most states consider this type of game of chance ILLEGAL. It is a mild form of gambling and without the proper paperwork you could get a fine.

Yea...I know that dice game....it does produce money. Are you able to set one up at a card show? I usually have seen them at flea market set ups but never at a show (not sure if you are able to etc)

Either way, I have never seen a 5 or a 30.....the best I've seen is a 28 (my father pulled it off)...got some Yzerman card for it. You could actually put some real decent stuff at the 5 and 30...I'm sure you will hold onto it by the end of the day. If someone pulls one of those numbers off then hey the deserve it..the odds are pretty big.

it can happen, once at a show my dad rolled the 30 which took home the Canseco rookie that at the time was around 100.00 or 150.00 I believe.

Thanks Homer- I had forgoten the formula, been a long time since 9th grade math lol.

I have never had any trouble with setting these up at shows or flea markets, even at mall shows.

I was thinking of putting some really good stuff out and get a crowd going. I have done it at many shows. I usually fill in the garbage numbers with my grab bags, which are $1 anyways, to get rid of commons by putting a decent card on top of the stack. Kids like those anyways. But I do $1 a roll, 6 rolls for $5. If I load upt the high numbers I will do 30 for $20 and they will likely end up with 30 grab bags and I will have a lot less commons around here.
