First Ike submission - Grades are in!

These were submitted under the 4 collector club "free" submissions. They were received 12/9 and grades just posted today, 12/31.

1 21432668 1971-D $1 USA MS66 (woo hoo!)
2 21432669 1972 $1 Type 3 USA MS64 (what I figured)
3 21432670 1974-S S$1 Silver USA MS66 (hoping for a 67)
4 21432671 1976-D $1 Type 1 USA MS65 (hoping for a 66, but a 65's not bad either!)

I'm thrilled! The 71-d was a shot 67 as it has flawless surfaces, but the weaker strike must have held it back. Yesterday I scored my first business strike, 1971-s peg leg variety. It's probably only a 63/64, but I bought it raw for $7 so I'm not complaining. Yes, Ikes are very addicting. . .

Edited to add that the 71-s is the rarer business strike as opposed to the proof

I will soon be sending in my Ike proof set for grading myself in the next few weeks. Great way for you to start the New Year!!!

It is hard to get grades that high with Ikes. Congrats.

The last Ike I sent in was a silver bicentenial. It graded 67 and I still think it should have been a 68. The clad coins are even tougher!
