34D Washington MS67

Thanks to David Schweitz (MS68) for letting me get up close and personal with this coin at Baltimore.
For the those who haven't had the opprotunity to view it, it truely deserves the grade!

Washington people I almost broke out in a cold sweat holding that lovely piece, it is a sight to behold.

David it was my pleasure to speak with you at the show along with many other board members, sorry i missed quite a few of the others.

Dave: Yes, it is a fabulous coin - glad you had a chance to see that.

I mentioned here last week that many of the freshly graded PCGS high end Wash quarters are very, very solid for the grade.

And, yes, even though my set is closed, it is obvious everyone, including myself, needs the 34(d) pop 1 coin as an upgrade to their collection. I can assure you the quality of the 34(d) quarter is not the determining factor holding me back personally from pouncing on the coin. I have a number of collections "under construction", including the "money pit" pattern nickels. Unfortunately, there simply isn't enough to go around for everything on the want list

Craig: As you know, MS68 is not "hard-selling" this coin - I suspect it goes right back into the bank vault until he pulls it for the FUN show next month (unless someone buys it in the interim).

Who knows- if the grading Gods are good to me in the next 30 days - maybe I'll be able to free up some cash to buy the coin

wow...for those who have seen the 32-d in ms66.. which would you prefer?

could it be that the 34-D is starting to get the respect it deserves. Personally, I think it is the SECOND key coin in the series behind the 32-D. JMO.
