Pick a category - Baseball, Hockey, Football, Golf, Basketball, etc.

You have to collect "1" card from each set registered on the Registry and try to do it in as highest grade as you can.

You would use the grade from that set, based on that card as your rating.

Is that feasible?

1st Finest Set - 1981 Baseball Fleer Master - Retired
1st Finest Set - 1955 Baseball Golden Stamps - Cleveland Indians - Retired
1st Finest Set - Mel Harder Baseball Master - Active
Mel Harder Showcase Set - Active
#15 on Current Set Registry - 1972 Topps Baseball - Retired
#23 on All Time Set Registry - 1972 Topps Baseball - Retired

    Or how about collecting #1 cards. Like 1951-1963 Parkhurst Hockey could be a set. You would only need twelve cards to complete it (no 1956 card) but a group/set like that would be awesome sence the #1 cards from these sets cost so much. Would anyone work on a set like that?

    I am currently working on a #1 card for Topps Baseball. It is not my main collection, but it is something that I always look out for.
    Looking for 77 cloth 9s and 10s.
    54 Red Hearts
    and now 64 Stand ups

    A #1 card from each set going back to 1933 in high grade would be a helluva accomplishment. Just off the top of my head:

    1933 Goudey Bengough
    1933 Goudey Sports Kings Cobb
    1941 Play Ball Dimaggio
    1948 Leaf Dimaggio
    1951 Bowman Whitey Ford RC
    1952 Topps Pafko
    1952 Bowman Berra
    1953 Topps Jackie Robinson
    1954 Topps Ted Williams
    1957 Ted Williams
    1966 Topps Mays

    This would be a very expensive endeavor, but I think it would appreciate rapidly. It's a good idea.

    Yes indeed. That #1 1941 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio is going to be a tough card indeed. In fact, you may never find one. Would that make it priceless?

    The pantyhose can be a problem. However, it can't touch riding the cotton pony while you're on the rag 29 out of 30 days a month.

    im doing a run of one psa 8-9 hockey card from every hockey set up to 1989. 40 of 67 so far, mostly hofers and most psa 9. its a great display piece
