I need just one little slab stand thingy- an Easel!

You know what I'm talking about... the things dealers have at shows to sort of prop up their slabs in their case... like two L's with a hinge (or no hinge) between them... almost like they could hold up a small painting.

Well, I need just one of those weenie, itty-bitty things... as long as it holds everything, from ANACS up image

If you can help, shoot me a PM, please image

Thanks!

Jeremy

Fossil shops often have small fossils or rock slabs resting on these. Cost about $1 each.

Cut some out of hardboard and glue them together.

    Jeremy,

Hi. This is what you are looking for on E-bay. I don't recall if I bought from this person or not, but I did buy about 10 and they work great!

  • Check with PCGS They have a slab holder specifically made for their slabs. A few years back a group of boardmembers pitched in and bought 100 of these from PCGS. I bought 3 and wish I'd have bought 3-dozen. They look and work great.

  • An art supply/ craft store might possibly carry those. I've even seen them at antique shops.

Our monastic brother made the suggestion I was going to: arts and craft stores often carry little easels, and I have seen them here at the one we have on the Island. I would imagine a place like Wal-Mart, especially their craft section, would have them. Why they would be in the craft section I don't really know, but I would imagine they are made to hold miniature collector plates or something like that. If you shop around and carry a slab in your pocket, you might be able to find one that is a good fit. And they are pretty cheap.

However, if you find one specifically made for slabs somewhere, so much the better.

Hang on- you said you just need ONE? As long as it holds an ANACS slab?

I might be able to help you. I have a bunch of little knicknacks, and it seems I had one of those easels somewhere...

    ... Nope. No such luck.

I still could swear there is one around... I'll keep my eyes open.
