    6. Joe was faced with a problem. His house is old and needs a fresh coat of paint. The house is 45 feet long and 27.5 feet wide, with 12 by 12 foot patio taken out of the south east corner. The ceiling is 8 feet high and the roof extends another 5 feet above that on a 45 degree angle facing the short side of the house. Assuming that a gallon of paint will cover 100 square feet of house and that trim is not included how much paint does Joe need to put a dobuel coat of latex semi-gloss paint around the whole house?

    7. You are in charge of assigning little league teams for the upcoming season. This is a friendly league and everyone plays. Each team gets 9 players, 3 outfielders 4 inflielders 1 pitcher and 1 catcher. If 27 kids all want to play outfield how many teams do you need? How many basemen do you need? How many total players will you have? (Note : Home plate is not counted as a base)

    9. If the volume of a containter is 12 L how many dL of nitric acid will it hold?

Gosh, weren't those the days, back when you were 10, that CU was just heaven on earth. You need math help? See your teacher. Pay attention in class. Ask a parent. Ask a friend. But bribe people with GU on an internet sports card board? Please.
  • sportstrack sthu, I'm 16 and I have actually been here since 01' Couldn't you just have said... I have no Idea how to do that! I failed out of High school when i was 17 and bought a card shop, Now wouldnt that have been nicer? This place used to be a place to hang out, and talk about whatever you wanted and no one cared. You want to trade your vintage cards keep to that forum.

vckid: Its a mix of Geometry and Algebra but its for my physics class. You need to pass the test to stay in the class...

23 jordan whats your aim? Thanks..

If you can't pass that test on your own, you shouldn't be in the class.
Your lab partner is going to be very afraid this year.

Hey VCRayGuns, can you do this one?

    << <i>Hey man late for work.... I've done 80 in a 65... >>

If VCRayGuns is driving 80 in a 65 zone, how many miles per hour over the limit is he doing?

    Answer +/- 10 mph for a cookie.
  • Also, since you live in NY, why not use your Physics Reference Table put out by the Board of Regents? Metric conversions are available on the front page usually which might help with #9.
