Carmelo Anthony went against what Lebron James did, signing one-year deals with Upper Deck, Fleer, and Topps to provide autographs and donate game-used memorabilia to each company. Here's the espn.com article:

    Smart move on Carmellos part. Show them what you got, then sign the long term deals for mega-bucks later on. We don't collect much of any NBA but Carmello is one player we are going to get numerous RCs of.
    Just feel he's going to be a major impact player for a long time in the NBA.
