Here's a pic of what other cards from the same issue look like:
It's a tough call. Upper Deck numbered these ones real sloppy and since the card is on a glossy surface, you could rub the numbers and put whatever you want. That's why the best hand numbered cards are the ones that don't have the glossy surface that soak in the ink.

Best bet is probably Ebay......

First off...Most of these are sent to the players and/or autographed in person without any of the numering being done prior.
They are than numbered...by MANY different people from UD.
Needless to say...Many different variations will occur within the apperances of the numbers as there are many different people doing the numbering.
Yeah..you can take a chance and rub the original off and make it your very own...1 of 1
Doesn't look like that's the case with this one though...
My 3 cents worth...
Can you say.....#11/80 being listed on ebay soon.
Ahhh... last I heard it was pulled out of a pack... Good one though....

As I suggested before, get it graded and it's a better sell for you.

<< <i>hand #d cards are a tough call..but rubbing off the # runs a highrisk to damaging the card....why take the chance of damaging the card...i know that it being jersey # is a big deal but there are better cards out there to change...plus i think collecting is a great guy >>
its easier than you think...
PS- you look at all of the other examples that he posted, and the numbering looks the same or very similar there....but his was done with a much larger tipped pen, and poorly i might add.
<< <i>an auto can be whiped off of paper? never knew that... >>
yes it can stupid, the card surface is glossy, and its called rubbing alcohol....you could take a sharpie to any glossy card, and i could wipe off all traces of it to the naked eye, especially if im just going to write over the area again...

<< <i>Larger tipped pen? uhhh could that be because tip is larger... >>
dumbass... the tip is larger cause its a larger tipped pen...
<< <i>I noticed in a sh*tload of your posts all you do is rip on other collectors? >>

<< <i>his 2500 feedback might prove that he pulled it.. but to you it probably doesn't >>
just because he sells a lot on ebay doesnt mean he didnt deface that card, lol...
also, you messed up because youre dumb, not because im pi ssing you off.

<< <i>Cool... Human mistake... >>
call it what you will...
lol kev
And UD employs one guy and one guy only who does nothing but writes numbers on cards...lol.
Quicksilver...Just a FYI for ya...Cards are numbered AFTER they are signed. This insures that if any autos are not "up to par" they can be pulled. Usually there are additional autos signed as well in case... as mentioned previously...The autos are smudged and/or for replacements.
Don't ya think if he was going to f#@$ up a card he would try and go for something a little bigger maybe???
Maybe he did...Maybe he didn't...One never knows.
And to all you "Wanna be Sherlock Holmes"...
Making UNFOUNDED CLAIMS on this guy with out ACTUAL PROOF is kinda bogus.
Have a nice day!
