All these years and I still can’t get used to the Brewers being in the NL.
I’ve always been a Robin Yount fan so I’m going Brewers. And the celebration if they win would be epic. 🥳

I'm absolutely on board with this matchup. It should be a great World Series and I'm rooting for the Brew Crew to bring the trophy back to the NL Central. It would be cool to see it go the distance as we are all aware of the potential for a work (play) stoppage on December 1. So let's enjoy this and then root for our knucklehead sports heroes to tie the knot on the agreement with the Evil Empire ownership, so we can eagerly chat about it 2027.

Good to see some new blood in the Series. Will like watching this one. Got a bet in on TB, but either way long as it's competitive will like the games.

I wonder who else is old enough to remember Milwaukee’s original MLB team and also the short lived Seattle Pilots.

    No looking on Google!! 😂😂😇

Yeah we all know the Boston Braves came to MKE to become the Milwaukee Braves before heading to Atlanta. Then Selig bought the Pilots and moved them to MKE in 69.

But the Brewers were a team as far back as the 1880s and you can see the original names in some the Brewers alternate jerseys through the years.

Every baseball fan in Wisconsin should know this.

Always remembered "Bernie Brewer" sliding into the mug of beer after a home run. The new version is more "Family friendly" I guess....................

Robert Gasser came over from the Padres in the Hader trade. Had a great rookie season until he ended up with the TJ after just 5 starts. It’s been a long path back to form but he’s been rocking since the ASB for the Crew. Love seeing young pitching staff coalesce like these guys. Reminds me of the 90s Braves.

A few short months ago this was merely a not very good team with only 2 hitters.

Finding it more than a bit ironic that the Chourio thread was such a poke at his contract and he's about to be MVP of the WS.

    dream season for the crew

103 in the reg season and just bumrushing everyone in the playoffs

    not even a sweat

i remember '04 well. when the Sox were down 0-3 to the Yanks, it still had a lingering "feel" to it. like........wait, not quite yet.

i'm not experiencing that same feeling with this series

i'm not experiencing that same feeling with this series

But nobody ever felt that with the Sox in '04 that's what made it literally magical

The series isn't over and the Rays could win the next 4, unlikely but that's why they play best of 7

Right now the Brew Crew is humming along at 10-1 in the Playoffs. Two schools of thought. One says the Rays are desperate at home and will do anything to win tonight, watch the bench and bullpen get emptied. The other, which I subscribe to, is much simpler: the Brewers must be thinking “Let’s finish this!!”

And it boils down to you can want but doesn't mean you will get

I think the Crew smash them in game 4 but anything is possible

Milwaukee is 10-1 in the playoffs

Tampa has to find a way to make them go 0-4 all of a sudden

that would include winning two in Milwaukee

    and getting through Miz

very best of luck with that endeavor

We witnessed a baseball season heavy on strength of competition. Tampa won their way through a very weak league overall when compared to the N.L. and Milwaukee has thrashed every team in its path. The results speak volumes. The Brewers have not only owned the game, they’ve elevated the organization as a standalone example of how to win. A lot.

Those missed opportunities in the 9th inning of games 1/2 by TB were a big factor. And jumping out to 4-0 lead in game 2 was wasted, when shut out thereafter, were killers.

Milwaukee has all but eliminated the Rays best pitcher, Rasmussen would probably start on Friday and I suppose he could pitch a few innings if necessary tomorrow. That's why the strategy of having the number one pitch the first game makes sense, he's ready for game four as usual and then game seven to let it all out.

Who likes the Joe Davis and John Smoltz performance? I don’t think Snoop Dogg could help.

If I’m Ortiz, Lara or Vaughn I might be currently wondering if I’m the kid who’s supposed to go to the snack bar to fetch sports drinks and power bars for the kids who play every inning.
