Question about Mickey Mantle photo/lobby card

I know these were lobby cards from the movie, "That Touch of Mink."

But this one has numbers at the bottom right: "62/288" and "1916-24"

Do these make this item any more special than a typical lobby card?

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

    Also, it is a glossy photo.

    The glossy photo - I'm betting is 8x10" and not a lobby card which are 11x14"

    What you have there is a production still - or movie still - or publicity still.

    And the number - 62/288 - is the NSS Stock Number (or National Screen Service number) - it means that the movie was released in 1962 and it was the 288th movie cataloged.

    I collect Lobby Cards but not stills - so had to look up the number on the still:

    116 (The Production/Negative Code): This unique numerical code was assigned by the producing studio specifically to that movie. Every single official publicity photo taken on the set of that specific film will start with 116.

    24 (The Still Number): This is the individual sequence number of that specific photograph. This means you are looking at the 24th approved publicity photograph selected from the thousands of shots taken during the filming of project 116.

    Also - I looked on eBay and noticed that there's loads of copies of photos similar to this (but wasn't the same) and stated as such.

    Yours looks like an original to me and just my guess - the numbers are "part" of the photo and adds no premium.

    I will guess because of Maris and Mantle, the photo is desirable.

    In fact, I wonder if 1951Wheaties aka Tim has one?

    Yes, it is an 8 x 10. So, I suppose it is a an original photo and not a lobby card.

    Not going to frame it, Mike, but I also bought this attractive item that was already framed. Not worth much, but I like it. Sorry for the sideways image.

    Very cool piece.

    The choice of Monte Irvin rather than Willie Mays makes me wonder if this dates to early 1951, before Mays joined the Giants in late May.

    A little later, the classic New York “big three” would almost certainly have been Mantle, Mays and Snider— which makes Irvin's presence here especially interesting.

    I discovered why Mays was omitted from this item. In small print at the bottom, I see the date of April 23, 1953. Mays was in the military at the time. This item is from the Sunday News, which was a New York newspaper.
