The 1847-O $10 Liberty Head eagle is a desirable New Orleans Mint issue, struck at a key Southern facility that served as a major conduit for gold entering U.S. commerce through regional trade and international ports. Often considered a practical entry point for O-mint eagle collectors, this XF example presents with attractive, lightly circulated surfaces and a strong overall appearance. The coin displays yellow-green patina with even wear. Light, scattered abrasions are present. Both sides exhibit a cohesive, original look with traces of remaining luster. Housed in a Generation 3.1 PCGS green label holder. Given Gold prices recent price dip, this seems like a great time to buy a collectible early O-Mint eagle. Prior to the Gold dip this coin had a CAC Value at $3,500 and now at $3,350 seems like a great buy now.
