Our Mike Trout?...

Hi guys, I not only collect Sports Cards but also I collect Coins.
Well, the U.S. Mint recently came out with a very special 2026 Quarter, that's commemorating our
250th Year!
Well, NGC (across the street) Placed a Bounty on the first one to Submit that special Quarter to NGC for grading. Then they would receive a cash prize of $2500!
Look at the name that WON!
Can this Mike T. actually be our
Mike Trout?

    @joeykoins I like the designs of the 250th commemorative coins, especially the half dollar. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the special quarter has no mintmark and is limited to 250,000 that will be released into circulation. If it is limited to 250k, that makes it one of the rarest circulated quarters in terms of mintage since the '16 SLQ and the Barber series over a century ago.

    Very cool idea for the mint and coin collectors. My Dad collected coins but did not want us to get into his hobby because you couldn’t find anything worthwhile anymore in circulation. We had the collector gene and gravitated to sports cards. He would have loved buying rolls of quarters from the bank and searching for these. Wish they did this a decade ago so he could have had the thrill of the search again like he had as a young coin collector.

    Let's see, Silver cost back then was probably near $1 per ounce!

    In 1964, a Morgan and Peace dollar had just about $1 worth of silver in them.
