Louis XIV Tokens Collection

As a French collector who has specialized in token collecting during the reign of Louis XIV (1643–1715) for several decades, I have decided to make it possible for as many people as possible to start a collection in this field.

It is clearly difficult for non-French collectors to acquire this type of numismatic item.
In fact, not only are the metal tokens minted during this period (1643–1715) difficult to find due to their scarcity, but they are also hard to find in good condition, as a large number were melted down during that time for economic reasons.

For this reason, I have decided to make 3D reproductions (videos) available online in the form of NFTs on OpenSea.
Each reproduction is minted in a limited edition of 1,000 copies.
Each NFT is documented (FEUARDENT reference, Latin inscriptions with English translations, year of minting, metal, diameter, weight, condition, rarity index, and general information).
For now, there is only one series online, but if this project piques your interest, I will add a few new representations each month.
This is a real opportunity for you, as I have more than 180 tokens from this period in conditions ranging from at least TTB+ to SUP.
You’ll find the link to this new collection in my signature.

If you’d like appraisals of any tokens, I’d be more than happy to provide them.

I don’t fully understand what is being offered here.

But it seems to me that you have a collection of 180+ (physical, metal) French tokens dated 1643-1715 and you are selling NFT photographs (“videos”) of each one, with a “limited” edition of 1000 digital copies, for $10 each. Did I get that right?

Irrespective that you’d be lucky to find even one person interested in such tokens, good luck in selling a NFT of same to folks who enjoy collecting physical historical objects. Seems like a scam to me, especially coming from a brand new poster.

I think your scam is about 6 years late. The NFT craze is dead and buried.

  • That’s exactly right. I do indeed have several hundred tokens from that period, including 180 in conditions ranging from TTB+ to SUP.
I completely understand why you’re hesitant, since I’m not offering to sell you a physical token. Please understand that I keep tokens of this quality for myself. I’m a collector, not a dealer.
The first image you linked to is indeed of a token I own.
This isn’t a scam, even if you think it is.
Take a good look at the NFT page and click the “About” button—you’ll see that I’m no novice in this field.
    But I respect your skepticism.
