EXCELLENT choice! 903 more walks than strikeouts, 475 HR, .331 BA, .559 SLG.

I have 3 players ranked above him using this criteria.

Williams, Gehrig and Musial qualify. Bonds did not hit for a .300 BA.

Mel Ott, 3rd in more walks than K's 5th in BA, OBP and SLG and 3rd in HR.

    That’s an exclusive list!
I think DiMaggio came pretty close. .398 OBP and 361 home runs. Could have gotten there if he played a couple more years and raised the OBP just a bit.

it's more exclusive than you think

Mel Ott didn't meet the criteria.............he slugged .533

  • Basebal21Basebal21 Posts: 5,217 ✭✭✭✭✭

The .550 slug is a killer. Ortiz was close but racked up a lot of Ks compared to walks in the back half of his career

    Fire AJ Preller

Jimmie Foxx is close. He didnt have 400 more walks. Foxx is one of only 3 players with a .320 or higher BA, and 500 or more HR's.
