1964 columbia 1 centavo Repunched 9
Has anyone seen this 1964 columbia 1 centavo with the Repunched 9 to the West.
I've seen different examples with the 9 repunched to the South, but this is different.
Also what is the story with the listing for the 1964/44 variety in the World Coins book?
I do not have monedas y billetes de colombia by pedro pablo hernández book.
Thanks for any help!

Despite these RPDs being quite common, I’ve never heard of anyone doing a study of them. Maybe someone in the Colombian Numismatic Society has done so or knows?
Personally, I’ve researched such minutia on various coins I collect, but have never written an article. But if the spirit moves you, please do the research and write one. Somebody in the future will thank you for it.
There is yet much to discover in world numismatics!
Thanks for the nice thoughts and it is true, with just a quick look there are at least four varieties:
Normal Date
Very low 4
Re-punched 9 West, shown in this discussion
Re-punched 9 South, very strong
and then maybe a fifth variety if anyone can explain the 1964/44 listing that everyone has copied from the World books.
So even if I don't get around to a full study or article, there is this forum post as a starting point.
While searching the web I can across the CoinVarieties Wiki, www.coinvarieties.com , so maybe I'll see what they are about next.
Happy collecting!
Depending on how deep you want to get into it, you can search NUMISCOL and see what's available.
It seems they have some of the older issues of the "Boletin" online (Spanish). And they have a Facebook page. I'm sure you can ask someone in English and they will help.
