Space related numismatic items up for Auction
There are a variety of mission flown and unflown numismatic items up for sale at RR Auction this Thursday, April 23. They are from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo timeframe, roughly 1961 - 1975. Included in the auction are mission flown medallions, bills and coins. Also included in the auction are unflown, but signed by the entire crew, dollar bills. If you are interested in any of the Lots, under the format of the auction you need to have bid on the Lot (not a final bid, consider it a participation bid) BY 6 pm Eastern time on the 23rd. Final bidding on the items starts at 7 pm on the 23rd, but you will only be able to bid at 7 pm if you have a bid in ON THAT LOT, by 6 pm.
In particular you will find the numismatic items in the Project Mercury, Project Gemini, and assorted Apollo (1 - 17) categories.

Comments
Some neat items. Anything that has "flown" apparently has a following and demand.
Yup. Space inside the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo spacecraft was at a premium, so very little was ever flown on those missions.
