And we care why ?
This post is actually quite humorous considering how a local news channel here in L.A. has been treating this event like it's amazing that he ISN'T hitting tonight. Like, whoa! You mean he's just doing mortal stuff? We're out of our minds!!!
6 innings, 95 pitches, 10 K's, 1 earned run and a victory. The entire rest of the league is average. The Dodgers with this guy are a cut above. Not mortal. Ohtani cards spiked again.
Cy Young coming?.... with 5th MVP if he keeps throwing & hitting with this type of focus.... maybe 20 wins too......sub 2.0 ERA?
there have not been too many players win both Cy Young and MVP in the same season. I can think of a few off the top: Verlander, Eck, Clemens, Gibson and Koufax. I am sure there are a few more too.
would be awesome if Shohei were to do it as well! if he were to do it this year that would give hime 6 major awards. 5 MVP and 1 Cy. I believe that would place him 3rd all time behind Bonds with 7 MVP and Clemens with 7 CY and 1 MVP.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I’m confused.
So what do we bet on?
The over!!
In fairness as of this writing pretty near anyone on the planet can have a great outing against the Mets. 12 total runs in their last 9 games -- ouch.
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Not even a minute do I buy the whole buh buh buh I'm a man-child japery - Me (2025)
He had a good outing from what I can see.
He didn't hit...I think he has a bit of a shoulder problem on the non pitching arm?
