just picked up a 1991 fleer larry bird psa 10
pop 230. i started reviewing the sells and the ;listings on the 1991 fleer basketball psa 10's. 75% or more belong to 4sc. no matter the player. if you ever doubted the connection here it is in black and white.
Work hard and you will succeed!!

They're the ones who've always been willing to submit by the metric tonne. They might as well call themselves PSA4SC.
1990 fleer basketball at least 75% but looks like 80 or 90 of all 10's including baseball.
The connection is obvious. I have not brought this up for months so its time to bring it up again- Check out the PSA 10 grade 4SC received for a 1979 Topps Eckersley.
The only 10 in existence turned a $25 card into 10K. If submitted by most of us it would have received at best an 8 and yes it was confirmed that they did submit the card to PSA for grading.
LMAO. Bitterness never tasted so sweet.
imagine paying $10k for a 1979 topps Eck in ANY condition!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Its not bitterness. Stating a fact is not being bitter. Just another example of PSA making a big error in grading.
I love 4SC. With PSA charging $33/card to grade I'm happy there's someone getting a good deal that can afford to sell their cards for less than the grading fee.

I think the purpose of this thread was to identify how 4SC is flooding the market with junk wax 10s, thanks to the good graces of PSA. To persistently complain about the SAME DARN THING, which has little to do with the intention of the thread, is just plain silly. But, you've got an agenda, so carry on dude. It's your show.
Who wouldn't flood the market in junk wax if they were practically guaranteed if a 10.
Getting 9 or below on that stuff is tantamount to burning the cash

Dude please stop telling me what to post. This is a message board and if I or any poster wants to make a post about any sports card topic good for them.
Your comment also won me more money- thank you. I gave my buddy 5-1 odds that would make a comment in this thread about my Eckersley comment. So thank you for the $25.
I know I won you money. You’re as predictable as a neglected housewife.
I have said it once and I will say it again- You remind me of a chick I broke up with decades ago.
Stalking seems to be more common on this forum since ahlfan was severed.

100 percent agree.
It ticks (with a P) me off too. I think about it just like you do.
A different view for sure. But I see your point. Why not let them control the market, while the little collector/dealer gets stomped in the ground.
Yes it was basically this. That most (or at least a lot) of the 10's we see for the 1987 and ups, seem to belong to 4SC.
I like junk wax 10s. Might buy me a few more just for kicks.
You’ve actually posted this numerous times. Thank you for breaking up with me. My life improved dramatically when we terminated the relationship.
It's hard to argue with a theory that doesn't present necessary supporting data.
is the connection that 4SC grades a large volume of 1991fleer basketball? I doubt it. I suspect the implication is that 4SC gets special treatment with regard to grading at PSA. Just say it then, but also provide some meaningful data to at least indicate that's the case.
You have a lot of knowledge to offer this board. I'm asking you nicely to stop telling me what to post. I will mention the 79 Eckersley when I want and I will mention it again many times. Just like every other poster has the right to post what they want. If you don't like a post ignore it which is what 99 percent of posters do.
I have problems with people who tell others what to do especially when they are not a loved one or a boss.
Never told you what or what not to post. I simply made mention of the fact that you persistently moan about the SAME DARN THING. As I said. Post what you want. I maintain the right to respond with a post in a public forum. Same as you. Have a nice day.
Sincerely, Your Ex-Girlfriend
A pillar of great business is to keep you largest clients very happy! PSA is a business they cast no asperations on being anything else.

Let’s keep comments focused on the topic and avoid personal remarks—thanks.
I think that the theory that 4SC is getting inflated grades due to their volume is unlikely.
For a completely unsubstantiated theory it's a lot of promotion of nefarious activity. You can look at the buyback program for that...
100 percent agree - that's what I'm asking. Thank you.
I bet my cat $100 that you would 100 percent agree and guess what?
Yeah. he hasn't paid up. he's broke.
Junk 10s are plentiful. Be selective. If it doesn’t look right, it probably isn’t. There’s some great opportunities to buy nice cards for reasonable prices, whomever the dealer might be. PSA will make mistakes. It’s a known fact. None of us can expect them to be dead nuts perfect. Then there’s the nefarious turds who fake cards in holders to trick people.
4SC is a machine. They have been for a very long time. They’ve also made a lot of people very happy and perhaps, wealthier.
true
4SC is probably one of PSA's biggest submitters. The amount of product they go through must be gargantuan. But unlike the common collector, who has to make their submission "worth it," 4SC submits everything that is a 10. A 1990 Donruss Burt Blyleven? Submit it. A 1991 Fleer Robert Parrish? Submit it. The more they submit the less it costs them to submit.
It's not worth it for us to submit those cards. That's why 4SC cornered the market on junk 10s. There's nothing nefarious going on. They're just bigger and better at it than (most of) us. It's just math.

It's not a surprise that they may have 10 or 12 PSA 10's of a certain card, as the are selling lots of 190 ungraded of the same card. Pull out the top 10%, and purge the rest.
And to submit those kind of cars, I doubt they are paying $25 a whack. about 15 years ago, on this board, there was speculation or maybe factual info about them submitting cards for $3 each and only getting the 10's slabbed. Of course I was submitting for $4.75 or $5 then too.
