A very nice copy of this card. Top to bottom centering is off too much in my opinion for a 10 grade for sure and maybe even a 9. A 9 could be possible but always tough to tell from photos.

Certainly not as many.
I miss the days of grading hundreds of cards and just following the process through the steps and flipping through the grades for the first time. So addictive.
Nice pack pull! I recently pulled an '83 Topps Sandberg, but probably the best I could hope for is an 8 in today's standards. So not going to get mine graded any time soon...

I just pack pulled it, but I'm thinking the top bottom centering is off too much to make it worth grading.
no better than an 8 for sure
PSA 6

I’ve never done better than a 9 on fresh pack pulled centered examples. If it were $10 a card I’d say what the heck. But not now. Sharp card tho!

Nice looking card!
No clue card is nice and love the cubs.
But I’m still gonna need that 25.99
OT but I just noted the error on the back of the card....Sandberg went to High School in the state of Washington (not WV)

great looking card, but in my opinion, not worth submitting at the current pricing level
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Agree with the posts - with current grading fees, slabbing wouldn't add any value. Beautiful card, I'd put it in a Mag Pro.

A grade of 10 is around $400 and a 9 is lower than $60 average:

I'd say if you love the card and want it for your PC, may be worth grading. To resell you could take a risk.
Love to talk baseball cards! Super fan of vintage 70's and early 80s cards.
In today's strict grading environment the card would net no better than a 7. Put in a holder and collect it.
I'm with those who like the card - would put it in my own holder - too expensive to grade unless you just want it in a PSA holder?
Thanks everyone for confirming what I thought.
Really a bummer the cost of grading makes this ineligible to have graded.
If the 1st thing you notice in the appearance in a card it is a negative. It won't get a 9 or 10. That top to bottom centering will drop it to an 8.

Such an easy one to kick.
