I think it’s coin silver from North Carolina.

    Google AI says:

"I. Vogler silver" refers to coin silver items, such as spoons, crafted by John Vogler (1783–1881), a prominent silversmith in Salem, North Carolina. These items are marked "I.VOGLER" in a rectangle, often featuring a fiddle handle design, and are highly collectable examples of 19th-century North Carolina craftsmanship...

But maybe you already knew that?

Seems to be popular. Different styles have sold in the hundreds up to just over a thousand.

It means the name of the person who made it. It's a known silversmith. What more is there to learn? 🧐

    Nice spoon, by the way.
