My company is doing a "March Madness" promotion and I am making a collage for my office. After a few days, I have these players represented:
Lew Alcindor
Bill Walton
The 1983 NC State team and coach Val
Patrick Ewing
Bird and Magic
Danny Manning
Christian Laetner
Allen Iverson
Carmelo Anthony
Steph Curry
Shabazz Napier
Ja Morant
And although he's not a player, I had to get one of Dickie V!
Also a couple of women's players.....Raven Johnson and Caitlin Clark. I have heard both names, but honestly have never seen either one play. I found pictures online.
Feel free to post names of players who you have memories of having great tournaments(Winning the title is not necessary obviously). I look forward to some great replies! ![]()

Wally Szczerbiak - scored 43 out of Miami's 59 points in a game.
Glen Rice - 184 points in 1989, most in a single tourney
Corliss Williamson from Arkansas, think it was 1995 or 1996 I got into the March Madness that year for the first time
Great examples!
Yes! 1994! I remember pulling some of his rookies in 1995!
Thanks!
I have added these 3 names to the list.
Nice!!!
The two that I remember most are on your list. Danny Manning and Carmelo Anthony. Manning because he led KU to a championship and Anthony because KU could not stop him in the title game. Believe he played for Syracuse and he was a freshmen if I’m not mistaken.
Emeka Okafor. 2004.
34 years ago on March 28th, 1992 Duke and Kentucky contested what might have been the greatest show in college sports history. Christian Laettner at the buzzer.
Glen Rice hitting all those 3's in 1989.
2025 SEC bowl record 4-10
SEC bowl record vs BIG TEN last two years 2-8
Dwayne Wade with Marquette in 02-03. That was during the peak of my interest in college sports and always loved when Marquette or U-GB would make a little run. That season for Marquette was good but that run in the tourney was something special.
