Amazing guide to refractor and insert card designs and what they're called

This has heaps of different card designs to help collectors figure out which type of insert/parallel/refractor/holo type card you have is.

It doesn't have everything but it has a lot and has been real handy so sharing it to everyone

    That was an interesting scroll-through.
Man, I'm glad my collection ends with 1979. You had Topps (regular set and inserts) and you knew what you had when you opened the pack.

I counted 71 different types of insert/parallel/refractor/hologram for baseball alone. Basketball seems to have a similar amount. Collecting modern seems very overwhelming IMHO.

Good detective work and great website for anyone who collects modern.

I'm a vintage guy and trying to collect the new stuff just bores me. It's too much chasing inserts and I love having some level of completeness. I keep trying to find it interesting and never can.

I'm sure the guys collecting new stuff probably say the vintage requires collecting too many cards of guys that no one cares about though...
