A local collector asked me to review his collection today, nothing special. However he had a 2010-D Yosemite quarter enamel color on one side that was silver on the edge, had the silver "ping" but an online AI search said that is not possible. He said one of the local shops offered him a lot more than spot for the coin. Is there any possibility the coin is silver? I do not have pictures at this point.

It is probably silver plated because the enamel applies better to silver than copper-nickel.
But that is just a guess.
Seen a few before, there interesting to see

BTW - it is not likely that this explains your coin.
