Grades Back from Our Host

Just picked up my latest submission to our host. The timing was reasonable as there was at least one coin that sort of complicated the submission. More on that coin in a separate post to be made at a later date. The submission consisted of Imperial and Weimar Germany, GB, Sweden, France. Mexico and Peru. Some good results with some creating more questions than answers. One can merely accept the results and agree to disagree as to opinions which seem to capture a moment in time which is the time of the submission which is not always the moment of truth in terms of what is the most appropriate opinion. And opinions can change... mine included... based on our point of reference which should be an ongoing process that improves over time. I'll end the Monday Morning armchair philosophy to move on to sharing results. And what might make some sense is to just add to some prior posts made from some of the countries previously referenced.

This thread will contain the sole coin from Peru... An 1842-L MB 8 Reales. Feel free to offer an opinion if you wish. Not to give away the grade prematurely, I will just state that it is MS and within my anticipated grade range

MS 64 was my guess. I checked the cert # afterwards just because you left it out there.

I was thinking the most probable grade outcome would be 64…. And I really did not see that as being overly optimistic.

Edited to add... Apparently it is a Top Pop with 1 at this grade level, Not sure that means much depending on the surviving population.
