SOLD on auction at Great Collections for $4,781 with the bp ($4,250 hammer) is my 1917 Standing Lib Quarter, Type 2, graded MS65FH by PCGS with a CAC sticker.

Here’s a hotlink to that listing:

https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/2046887/1917-Standing-Liberty-Quarter-Type-2-PCGS-MS-65-FH-CAC-Green

Here are their photos:

  1. The CAC sticker represents that in CAC’s opinion, this coin is “solid for the grade” AND is also “solid” for the Full Head suffix!
  2. The PCGS Price Guide has this as $1,900.
  3. The CAC Price Report has this as $2,100.
  4. There are 412 of these 1917 Type 2’s graded MS65FH (250 by PCGS and 162 by NGC). Of those 412, only 34 merit a CAC sticker!

Here’s more of my pricing research. I suggest you do your own research:

  1. On PCGS’s Auction Prices Realized, there are only two sales in the past six years of those in this MS65FH grade by PCGS with a CAC sticker - January 2024 at Heritage, and August 2022 at Stacks. Neither one was Blast White. They each had “brownish” toning, the one at Stacks more so than the one at Heritage. They sold for $1,740 at Heritage and $2,160 at Stacks.
  2. The most recent three sales at Great Collections were January 2025, February 2024, and April 2023. In that order, they sold for $3,206 (OGH), $3,723 (OGH), and $2,925.

Thanks for checking it out!
