Talk about a dirt find:

(Hidden in a faded plastic sleeve It almost went directly from the dustpan into the trash.)

Neat ancient Greek coin. It would look good in an NGC slab. B)

Interesting find. It would be incredible if it were real, but something tells me it's a copy. 🧐 😀

Maybe it’s an Ancient Greek Cheerios drachma! 🤪😉

Indeed, it is fortunate that for this coin, the ambiguity can be removed. For those who haven;t noticed it yet, as per US law introduced in 1973, it has the word COPY stamped onto it, on the reverse at the base of the square across the owl's feet.

Cool replica (real silver?), and still a fun dirt find.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
