Was 1967 the best debut season of all time for MLB?

4 hall of famers made their rookie debuts during the 1967 season:
Johnny Bench
Rod Carew
Reggie Jackson
Tom Seaver

throw in Joe Niekro and those are 5 pretty good rookies!!

has another season ever matched 1967?

1973 was pretty good too with 3 hall of famers: Brett, Parker and Winfield

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

oh man, that was a good one too, except Killer actually had 15 PA in 1954 which lumps him in with Aaron who also debuted in 54

Banks and Kaline debuted in 1953, so that year also had 2 HOF careers begin.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    1986 pretty good too:
    Bonds
    Maddux
    Palmeiro
    Larkin
    Kevin Brown
    Cone
    McGwire
    Finley
    Will Clark
    McGriff
    Moyer
    Joyner
    Bonilla
And a lot of other nice to good players. Really deep class.

That 1986 class was epic. Think back to 1987-1988...we all thought that out of that 1986 group, there were at least 5-7 DEFINITE HOFers. Two or three years later, I suspect we still thought the same thing. Geez.

Still has three. If you consider the PED should be there too that would be six. Will Clark and Kevin Brown still have a shot. Cone an outside shot.

    1973 was almost…..

    Mike Schmidt
    George Brett
    Dave Winfield
    Dave Parker
    Robin Yount
    Gary Carter
    Jim Rice

    Plus
    Keith Hernandez
    Fred Lynn

    I guess almost doesn’t count 😩

Amos had a legit career too, but played on some really bad Royals teams. At least he was around for the mid/late 70s.

Their rookie cards were all 1955.

What I like is they didn't share their first card with anyone.

Either way, I don't think you lose rookie status in 15 games.

I could be wrong though. Not going to look it up.

Also looking at first baseball cards, Oliva and Rose both in 1963. Anone else that year?

Debut is a different classification than rookie status.

Stargell and Staub rookie cards in 1963.

Bank and Aaron RC in '54 tho.

I agree '75 is up there in terms of actual numbers...but agree with an earlier comment '51 is the best talent with Mantle and Mays.

not much, jack clark and willie randolf.

I think some people are confusing MLB debut season with rookie card year.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
