Just busted a box of 01-02 BAP Update Hockey.CJ pulled a:

Triple Teamates Jersey #ed/80 of Roy-Sakic-Drury BV$150

Needless to say,this is going into our Avalanche collection.We have been hot with the pulls lately.Way to go kid !
We also got some nice RCs & Autos as well.Not bad for $65 box.

nice card...too bad hockey card world is collapseing, i got out of hockey when it was still doing alright..now its really hurting..

Totally disagree with you on hockey collapsing.Prices on hockey gu & autos are way more stable than any nba stuff out there.
But hey, we're not into this hobby for just the $$$.We collect who we like & CJ just happen to pull a card of a team & players we have always enjoyed.That's why this card will not be up for trade.

Nice pull

I've always thought individual card values were much stronger in the hockey market than any other sport... am I mistaken?

Many people who think hockey doesn't do well should come to the Toronto Expo when it's on here. I'm talking everyone is loaded with hockey. I personally don't collect much of it...moved into Basketball with the Carter explosion...but hockey is very strong....and a great sport I may add....GO HABS......

Thanks for all your replies.We have found that hockey cards both individual cards as well as sets price out remarkably well.We started collecting hockey a couple of years ago when we decided to get out of collecting NBA.Niether of us enjoyed basketball much except for the NCAA ball anyway.
We started collecting Avalanche & Hurricanes cards but then it became so exciting as we found boxes were so much more reasonably priced while the card values were exceptionally high compared to investment.With me being on disability,that means more bang for our bucks plus we were collecting cards of players & teams we actually liked & enjoyed rather than just for trading.

Vincecarder-speaking of Habs: we have pulled 2 of the Habs mini-Stanley Cups Guy Lefleur & Guy Lapointe from the 02-03 BAP Memorabilia series;it was awesome getting mini-cups of 2 of the greatest players of the Original Six.

With the new rules it's even more exciting watching this great sport!

teammates jerseys of one of our all time favorite teams;the Avalanche!
We also found out we were one of the winners of a $25.00 gift certificate from Charm City Cards where we buy some of our boxes.
They have a monthly drawing.
That'll help with our next box:02-03 SP Authentic Hockey! Can't wait!Comes out in 2 weeks! YEA!
