Japan Mint in Osaka tour
Was able to visit Japan Mint and did a free mint tour in Osaka. The tour is like the one in Philadelphia mint where you see the production from an upper floor thru a glass window and a live video feed on the hallway at the same time, At least 3 floors, first stop was where they make coin blanks from sheets, washing and drying blanks before heading for edging preparation and minting (note that I'm skipping a few steps of making coins from the mint). After coin production tour ends, tour continue into the museum, and they have an international coin display until mid-December. I did not see any US coin on display, but France's 2024 The Sower and Liberty Silver coin was on display. The only thing I bought was a silver medal from 2023 Japan International Coin Design Competition winner medal. They give you a plastic tour bag with tour explanation and probably catalogs but no coin freebies. The tour was mostly in Japanese language but most of the posters of coin process has English translation. Photos still on my phone and not able to transfer in my PC yet and post. I'm still here for another week and a half and thinking of going back to the tour again if there are slots available. Walking distance from where I'm staying.
Thanks.

Thanks for posting this. Look forward to the pics.
Enjoy the great food of Kansai!
The mint museum is not designed for foreign tourists but I enjoyed it greatly and google translate helped a lot.
