Have to be honest, card looks exactly the same. I’d suggest an MBA sticker to spice it up.

Serious note, that card is gorgeous, and iconic.

Crossing to a PSA grade seems to be lower than the SGC grade by 1/2 to 1 grade. Personally….I prefer to have my cards in PSA holders….despite the nice contrast of the black holder with the yellow background on the 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson Rookie card.

My last 3 SGC cracks, submitted to PSA each went up by .5

    2 T206 minor HOF'ers each increased from SGC 2.5 to PSA 3 . A 1924 Aguilitas moved from 1.5 to 2.0

Buy the card, not the flip!!!! unless a CGC slab, then simply walk away

Mine was not cracked out. It is best when crossing to crack out…but I did not want to risk damaging an iconic card when cracking out.

    yep --

even though same parent ownership my guess at very least unconscious bias remains strong amongst the graders. They still want to show they are better than SGC.

I guess in 1-2-3 more years that might not be the case?

BTW odds of damaging low grade pre 1925 card on a careful crack out as I did is unlikely, but I agree - why risk it on a 1948 Leaf mid-grade Jackie

No debate in my mind, that card looks beautiful in that holder. Tight and sweet! Nice catch.
